Implementation of further measures to ensure our centres remain COVID-19 free

Dear Scribbles and Giggles families and team members,

With recent events the executive team have continued to review all our practices and procedures within our centres, to ensure the safety of all the children, their families and our staff by implementing further measures to ensure our centres stay COVID-19 free.

Our team have been highly trained in dealing with infection control to ensure we are keeping children, families and educators safe within our centres.

The below will be effective immediately:
  • Our centres will be cleaned prior to the centre opening by staff using an antibacterial cleaner to disinfect all surfaces. This will be done before the arrival of families.
  • Ensuring good hygiene practises are continuing to occur daily by encouraging all children and educators to wash their hands after every transition throughout our routine.
  • Team members will be doing temperature checks every 2 hours and recording this through KinderM8.
  • Team members will be educating children on infection control, why we see people wearing masks, social distancing and why it is so important to remain hygienic.
  • Deliveries of essential shopping items will be disinfected upon delivery and prior to being stored.
  • Centre Cooks will be limiting the usage of raw fruits and vegetables and instructed to peel and clean any raw foods used, while continuing to ensure all dietary requirements are met.
  • All outdoor areas will be disinfected, including all sandpits and construction pits daily.
  • All centres will be enforcing social distancing in line with government guidelines.
  • Incursions and Visitors have been postponed until further notice. Children’s therapy sessions will now be accessed through online platforms.
  • Please keep your children home if they have a temperature of 38°C or above, they are unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19 or they have been in contacted with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
  • As per our open-door policy, families are always welcome into the centre. However, we would appreciate your cooperation n minimising entrance to your children’s rooms throughout the day.
